I was speaking to Clem Sunter the other day when he told me that in Darwin’s first edition of Origin of the Species, Darwin didn’t talk about survival of the fittest, rather the survival of the adapted. The short code = those who survive (and thrive) are those that adapt the fastest. What Darwin meant was that survival is ensured for those who best fit the environment as it changes.

Animating Absa
The Jupiter Drawing Room (Jhb) set out to create a campaign that would differentiate the bank from its competitors in every sense and take into account Absa Capital’s positioning of ‘Born to Redefine’. The 60 second television commercial features exquisitely intricate animation. The team was headed up by Jonathan Deeb – creative director – and all animation was carried out by McGuff.

This ad for Nando’s advertises a bigger, fuller, bouncier, double breasted burger, and features… well see for yourself. The idea was generated by Black River FC and it was directed by Cindy Lee from Fresh Eye Film Productions.

Volkswagen SA recently announced that they would cease sales of their SEAT vehicles in South Africa by the end of 2008. Agency Jupiter Drawing Room Cape Town and its client Hyundai saw the gap and came up with this cheeky ad which appeals to former owners of the SEAT to consider purchasing a Hyundai.
