by Oresti Patricios. Locally, Land Rover is using the Rugby World Cup 2015 to give support to grassroots rugby projects
This week during The Ad Feature on 702, Jenny Crwys-Williams (@jcwLIFE) gives a thumbs up to Land Rover, while Lewis Hamilton and Nico Rosberg spin out of control with a thumbs down.
The Client: Land Rover
The Agency: Y&R
The Brief: Target the lifestyle and leisure segment of the Defender consumer by playing off its class leading off-road capabilities.
Creative Solution: Put on your gear, drive up the Matroosberg mountains, park your car and jump out the door. The defender is a vital piece of equipment for the more adventurous at heart. The ad was originated out of the Cape Town office and is running in press and outdoor across Europe as well as locally in SA 4X4 magazine, Getaway and Property Magazine.
Creative Team: Clinton Bridgeford, Liam Wielopolski, Graham Lang (Y&R London) (Executive Creative directors), Ntobeko Ximba (Art director), Deanne Longmore (Creative director), Bryan Traylor @locker14 (Photographer), Lee Aldridge, Stuart Frost (Y&R London), Dillon @still (Retouching)
Land Rover agency Y&R infiltrated a well-known Safari website and posted the ad on to it. People used to viewing the watering hole during live streaming were surprised to see a message from Land Rover being trumpeted out by a young elephant.
