by Ad Feature. It’s three Heroes this week from Andy Rice, Sizakele Marutlulle and Sheldon Morais, EWN online editor, and a chat about the latest #Durexthe1 “Extra Safe Single” campaign with Alexia Theocharis, assistant brand manager for Durex South Africa!

To promote its Extra Safe product, condom manufacturer Durex recently launched a campaign consisting not only of radio, digital, PR, point of sale and activations but OOH elements as well — and that’s not just ANY billboard — we’re talking 165 customised graffiti walls across South Africa!

For the Wall of Fame or Shame:

  • Rice gives a Hero to a powerful chalkboard message for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, displayed outside the BP service station in Dunkeld/Hyde Park, Johannesburg, last week
  • Morais also awards a Hero to Pepsi’s latest TVC in America from BBDO New York, featuring Marshawn Lynch and an unlikely voiceover, and
  • In keeping with the positive tone, Marutlulle hands out a Hero to Skinfood’s Breast Cream from BBDO New Zealand, also for Breast Cancer Awareness Month, with possibly the greatest payoff line ever.

Enjoy the show!
