Am I Collective’s contribution to the Inkygoodness’ Character Totem Home coming’ exhibition. Am I Collective MD Mark van Niekerk says that for this new show, “we created ‘Maconini Abaphansi’. Our artwork shows a photograph of an African totem creature found by explorers in their quest for new tribes on the dark continent. He is made up of African masks and robotic elements from the tribe’s recurring encounters with UFO’s.” Hmmm.
Character Totem Home-Coming will run from 19th – 30th July, with a special launch night on Thursday 21st July 6pm – 9pm at the Zellig Gallery space, The Custard Factory, Birmingham, U.K. Check out www.inkygoodness.com and www.zellig.co.uk.
