The idea behind my containers was to use pine, a readily available material, and make a classy product from it. I believe that ecofriendly design should no longer be a trend but a prerequisite. I like the idea of using green materials to create tasteful, quality products. My containers are made of SA pine approved by the Forest Stewardship Council, and the lids are made from injection-moulded biodegradable cornflour.

The ideas we inspired from spending time walking the streets – traffic cones are a common sight. My original idea was to morph the cone, but I was advised that a literal direction might be worth exploring. The containers stack on top of each other and rest on a base that serves as a tray for the whole unit. They are bright coloured and fun.
