by MarkLives (@marklives) South Africa’s Creative Circle has announced its Annual Award 2018 winners and Overall Rankings. Nando’s, Sanlam and Carling Black Label were the big winners of Wednesday night, 20 March 2019, with each brand winning in multiple categories. Ogilvy Cape Town was the top performer followed by M&C Saatchi Abel Cape Town and then King James Group.
TBWA\Hunt Lascaris Johannesburg came first in the Creative Circle Overall Rankings Agency of the Year 2018. Second was Ogilvy Joburg, followed by Joe Public United in third. TBWA SA and Ogilvy SA tied for Group of the Year 2018, followed by Joe Public United in third place.

The Creative Circle Overall Rankings are the cumulative results from all the Creative Circle-endorsed global and local award shows throughout 2018, including The One Show, D&AD, Cannes International Festival of Creativity, Loeries and its own Annual Awards, at which judges look at all the Creative Circle Monthly Award winners throughout the year and award the best work from each category. Only Creative Circle SA members are included.
Sponsors are SAB, AB InBev, Liberty and Primedia, which sponsored the Radio & Audio category with free airtime to the value of R100 000, R60 000 and R40 000 respectively for this year’s first, second and third place Radio & Audio winners.
