Pick n Pay goes out to pitch
by Herman Manson (@marklives) One of South Africa’s largest advertisers, Pick n Pay, has put its advertising account out to pitch. The retailer has had an agency relationship with incumbent, Y&R South Africa, for the past 48 years.
Y&R SA has been confirmed as repitching for the business; Pick n Pay is one of its largest clients.
Earlier this year, Pick n Pay’s Smart Shopper loyalty programme won at the Sunday Times Top Brands Awards in the Consumer: Loyalty Programme category. The Smart Shopper brand and communications were conceived and developed by Y&R SA.
Neither Y&R nor Pick n Pay would offer further comment at this time.
