by MarkLives (@marklives) This week, the 55th Clio Awards has been announcing the winners who will be presented with their statuettes on 1 October 2014 in New York City — and South Africa has won* three Golds, seven Silvers and 11 Bronzes so far. Congrats to all the winners!
M&C Saatchi Abel walked off with one Gold, two Silvers and two Bronzes — all for The Street Store. Ogilvy & Mather Johannesburg took one Gold, one Silver and two Bronzes for Lucozade; and Ogilvy & Mather Cape Town received one Gold and one Silver for its “National Anthem” for Rape Wise.
The remaining Silvers went to Ogilvy Joburg for Huggies Gold (one), and two to Joe Public for One School at a Time.
Of the remaining Bronzes, Ogilvy Joburg took one for Bose; The Jupiter Drawing Room (Cape Town) one for Brandhouse; FCB South Africa one for Coca-Cola and another for Lexus; Ireland/Davenport one for National Geographic Channel; the Hardy Boys one for the NSPCA and Egg Films one for Skrillex’s Ragga Bomb.
