The bitten pencil. The epitome of stress to me, especially while at school, when I used my trusty Staedtler HB pencil for exams!
The link between ‘school’ and ‘stress’ has been captured perfectly in this cover.

Yes, the cover is busy (a lot going on!), but its execution is successful, with the overall look and feel reminding me of something nautical and also a little restaurant on a dock somewhere…
Just not sure how it all links back to Chris Pratt but, overall, it looks cool.

Best of VOLO – in Nature, Volume 1
It’s billed as the “World’s #1 Nude Art Magazine”, and it’s created a special “Best of VOLO” looking at Nude Landscapes — all 178 pages!
Yes, the image is quite naked, but we’re all adults here and can appreciate beauty, and a beautiful cover…

Stay with me, I haven’t gone crazy by thinking this cover is a work of art…
I wanted to include this as I find the amount of cover lines extremely interesting, as they it take up probably 90%+ up of the cover! In some small way, the craziness of it all makes it interesting and arty.
Still wondering what Shukanjosei is? It’s Japan’s oldest women’s magazine, and is all about gossip, society, lifestyle and cooking.
