- ColumbusCEO
- Go!
INTERNATIONAL
Variety, 12 August 2014

A brilliant concept to illustrate the “Breakfast Battle” between the breakfast shows Today and Good Morning America!
Entertainment Weekly, 15 August 2014

I had to do a double-take (that’s probably what the editorial team tried to achieve) when I looked at the split covers for Entertainment Weekly!
It still boggles my mind a bit, but Kevin Spacey (from House of Cards) is channelling the character Selina Meyer from Veep. On the other cover, Julia Louis-Dreyfus is looking powerful as she portrays the character Frank Underwood (played by Kevin Spacey) in House of Cards!
Mind F!
The New Yorker, 25 August 2014

Some light humour, which I COMPLETELY agree with, on the latest cover of The New Yorker…
ColumbusCEO, September 2014

I’m not familiar with ColumbusCEO magazine, but I like the way it illustrates how TAX is sliced and diced, even though it might not be 100% accurate – the message comes across very well.
LOCAL
Go!, September 2014

A few months ago, Weg! and Go! magazines announced a competition where they invited their (photograph-loving!) readers to send in their photos, for the chance to get their pic on the cover!
The winning cover-image is here! And it is indeed a beauty!

MagLove by @MediaSlut is a regular slot featuring the best local and international magazine covers every week, recognising well thought-out, powerful and interesting (and hopefully all three-in-one) covers and celebrating the mix of pragmatism, creativity and personal taste that created each of them. The (for now anonymous) blogger behindMediaSlutknows way too much for his own good about media in South Africa, magazines in particular. His mission is to show when SA magazines fail but, most importantly, also when they succeed. If you’re looking for a library about SA magazines and news, this is your one-stop pitstop.
