Zanele Muholi, a visual activist and photographer, is a speaker at the 2014 Design Indaba. In 2013 she won the Fine Prize for an emerging artist at the 2013 Carnegie International and the prestigious Prince Claus Award, presented in Amsterdam, as well as the Freedom of Expression Index Arts award. Her work focuses on black lesbians and transgendered persons. In 2012, she produced the documentary Difficult Love.
