by Herman Manson (@marklives) Hyundai South Africa has appointed FoxP2 to handle its through-the-line advertising account. The company, currently the fourth-largest car brand in South Africa, leaves The Jupiter Drawing Room (Cape Town) after a relationship spanning 16 years.

FoxP2 logo“While we are both proud and honoured to be appointed on the brand, we became equally excited throughout the selection process about the wonderful team of people we will be working with at Hyundai,” comments Charl Thom, group CEO for FoxP2. “We look forward to a great partnership where we challenge each other to reach greater heights.”

FoxP2 started work on the business in mid-March 2017. Most of the account will be run through its Johannesburg office, with some digital work happening in Cape Town. The inclusion of the digital business is the result of continued investment in FoxP2’s digital capabilities over the last few years, according to Thom.

The account will be one of FoxP2’s five biggest and its first automotive client; however, Thom says, various members of his team have extensive experience in the field.
