by Herman Manson (@marklives) McCann Worldgroup has won the kulula.com and MTbeds accounts. The business was previously held by King James Group and Native VML (digital).
“McCann showed us a new, strategic approach to our communication as part of our business model; we couldn’t ignore the way this will positively affect both kulula.com and MTBeds,” says Shaun Pozyn, head of marketing for British Airways (operated by Comair) and kulula.com.
According to McCann Worldgroup executive chairman for Africa, Fraser Lamb, the agency is delighted to bring kulula.com and MTBeds on board: “kulula.com is one of South Africa’s iconic brands and we are delighted to be working with clients who understand the need for brave creative work that breaks through. We are not only a match from an agency-business perspective, we get along really well together, and that is a sure recipe for success.”
According Archie Masebe, managing director of McCann Johannesburg, the first campaign from McCann for kulula.com will run from March 2017, while the digital team is already working on the MTBeds brand.
