Publicis Machine appoints chief strategy officer
Publicis Machine has appointed Moagi Bodibe as its new chief strategy officer to manage the full strategic operations of the group, spanning both the Johannesburg and Cape Town offices, as well as the group’s five specialist pillars: Narrative (content marketing), Incentiv (loyalty and rewards), Answered (research), Moon Walk (public relations), and Nurun (technology specialist).
Bodibe joins Publicis Machine from Metropolitan Republic, where he most recently led the strategic planning efforts for MTN in South Africa, as well as in numerous southern and East African countries. Prior to that, he worked as a consultant at brand strategy consultancy, Yellowwood, and mobile network operator, Vodacom, where he fulfilled a number of roles in product, content and segment marketing, culminating in his heading up the youth segment.
Comments Wimpie le Roux, MD of Publicis Machine, Johannesburg: “We are really excited to have Moagi join our fast-growing team. We were looking for someone who has a real passion for creativity, insight and data, and who is geared towards finding strategic solutions for our clients’ business challenges, and we found this in Moagi. We work in one of the fastest-moving environments in the business world, and we know it’s vital to develop and evolve faster than the environment in which we work. Hiring the brightest minds in the business is the best way to ensure that we stay one step ahead.”
