Loeries now open for entries
Entry for this year’s Loeries is now open. The deadline (for now) is 15 May 2019. Entries not complete by this date will be charged a 10% late-entry fee. Entries must be commercially published, launched or aired to a substantial audience for the first time between 1 June 2018 and 31 May 2019.
“One of the exciting developments [this year] is the broadening of our design category,” says Andrew Human, Loeries CEO. “We’ve opened the design awards to include all aspects of design: retail design like furniture, lighting and fabric design, industrial design, interior design and architecture, as well as all elements of traditional graphic design. Nando’s has come on board as our design category partner; they are a brilliant example of a brand that uses local design as an integral part of their brand.”
In other changes, Newspaper Advertising, Magazine Advertising and Branded Content-Print have been merged into one category: Print Advertising. Tactical Use of Newspaper and Tactical Use of Magazine have been merged into “Tactical Use of Print”. Print Crafts and Out of Home Crafts have now been separated into two categories. South African Non-English Print and Film have also been integrated into the main categories and will no longer be judged separately.
