Checkers piloting 60min delivery service
Checkers has launched an on-demand, one-hour grocery delivery service, Sixty60. Following months of testing the app with its own employees, it is now being piloted to the public in select locations in Cape Town and Johannesburg.
The name is meant to capture the service’s main ambition: for customers to order groceries in 60 seconds and have them delivered in as little as 60 minutes. Products on the app retail at the same prices found in Checkers stores. Delivery is free during the pilot period.
Sixty60 is currently available to the public in Checkers supermarkets in the Western Cape (including Durbanville, Willowbridge, Okavango Crossing, Rondebosch, Kloof Street, Sea Point) and Sandton, Gauteng (Melrose and Bryanston).
The beta app is available for download on the App Store (Apple) and Google Play Store.
